What is Wrinkle Reduction?
Our wrinkle reduction treatments are completed using Botulinum Toxin Type A; a purified form of a naturally occurring protein that temporarily prevents muscles in the treated area from contracting and creating wrinkles.
The most commonly treated areas for our wrinkle reduction are:
- Frown lines
- Forehead lines
- Smiles lines (“crow’s feet”)
These are all lines and wrinkles formed when your face is in motion. If you have lines/wrinkles when your face is at rest, our dermal fillers may be a more appropriate treatment choice. Your practitioner will discuss the best option that matches your treatment needs at your free consultation.
What is involved in my wrinkle reduction treatment?
At your consultation, you will be assessed to ensure you are a suitable candidate for our wrinkle reduction treatments. Clinical photographs will be taken to record and compare your progress throughout treatment. Once you have been assessed, our gentle treatment options will be discussed with you to ensure they meet your treatment needs and to answer any questions that you may have.
Treatment often takes a few minutes and is close to painless. The effects are usually seen 48-72 hours after treatment, although the full result may take two weeks to appear.
